Jesus’ Mission…Our Mission..

It’s not mission impossible

Luke 4:18 Jesus mission is our mission. The Spirit of the Lord was upon him the Spirit of the Lord is in us!

John 10:10, Mark 1:24 the devil’s work is to destroy. Pain, sickness and disease are predominantly the devil’s work. Jesus and we are to destroy his work! 1John 3:8

Since Jesus’ mission is ours, we are to search out and destroy the devil’s work also. Luke 13:12, 16 Jesus discovers a crippled the woman and says that her affliction is from the devil. He then frees her from the devil’s affliction! Nowhere in his teachings did Jesus ever say that God had put disease or sickness on a person to test them or to teach them something! If God had made anyone sick and Jesus healed them, then Jesus would be going against God by healing them! He only did what He saw His Father doing! The Father was healing ALL who came to Jesus! Jesus is counting on us. We have the same power He had, available in us.

Luke 10:19 He gave the disciples power. “I give you power….. “

Acts 3:6 Peter knew what he had and released it to the cripple. “What I have I give”

Romans 8:11 the Spirit and power of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is in you.

We need to learn to release the Spirit and power that resides in us just like Peter did.

Eph 1:18-20, 3:20 God’s power toward us incomparably great.

1 Cor 2:1-4 when the gospel was preached in the early church it was preached with power “not simply with words, but also with power” Paul wanted these new believers’ faith to rest on the POWER OF GOD!

Matt 5:13-16 we must stay salty, and we must keep our light shining. We are commanded to be strong, courageous and to overcome our fears.

Eph 6:10, Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!

Joshua 1:6-9 & 10 Deut 31:6 & 23 God commanded Joshua about a dozen times to be strong and courageous and not be afraid of the Giants in the land because God promised to be with him….God has also promised to be with us! He was not pleased with the 10 spies who came back with a bad report and who entered into disbelief.

Many in the Christian church today disqualify themselves because they look at themselves like grasshoppers also. We say things like; that’s not my makeup, that’s not who I am. I haven’t been called to this kind of ministry. I am not worthy, I am not strong enough, etc.

We make a mistake of comparing ourselves to the other “more courageous and stronger” Christians….. it’s a mistake. We must overcome timidity, and fear and go because He said He would be with us and in us!  Download this PDF
